SEN Teaching Assistant job

At GSL Education in Leicester, we are currently recruiting enthusiastic and caring SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a range of welcoming primary schools in Leicester and the surrounding areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants, support workers, care staff or graduates looking to gain valuable school experience.

The Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech & language difficulties and social, emotional & mental health needs (SEMH)
Work 1:1 with pupils or provide support within small groups
Help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
Support the class teacher with behaviour management and learning activities
Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents

We Are Looking For:

Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, care or support work experience welcomed)
A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential
Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
