This fulfilling role, commencing in September, is ideal for an individual who possesses a strong passion for supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

The Role:

The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with SEND. This will involve:

• Working closely with students on a 1:1 or small group basis to provide tailored support.


• Assisting with lesson preparation and delivery, adapting materials and activities as needed.


• Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers and parents.


• Encouraging student participation and engagement in classroom activities.


• Promoting independence and self-advocacy in students.

Key Qualities:

• A genuine empathy and understanding of the unique challenges faced by students with SEND.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.


• A patient and adaptable approach, with the ability to adjust support strategies as required.


• A strong commitment to professional development and continued learning in the field of SEND.


• Experience working with students with SEND in a secondary school setting is desirable.
