We are recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive specialist school in the Guildford area from September. The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs. Support students both in and out of the classroom to help them access learning. Build positive relationships with pupils, encouraging confidence and independence. Assist with implementing individual learning and behaviour plans. Support pupils with communication, social, emotional, and sensory needs. Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff. Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable. Experience supporting pupils with SEN, ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or other additional needs is advantageous. A patient, caring, and resilient approach. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential. Relevant education, care, support work, youth work, or psychology experience welcomed.
