A welcoming primary school in Sheffield is recruiting an experienced SENCO to lead the school’s SEND strategy from January 2026. The appointed SENCO will take ownership of day-to-day casework while also driving whole-school improvement in inclusion. This SENCO post in Sheffield combines strategic planning, staff development and hands-on support for pupils and families. The role will commence January 2026, with a structured handover period planned ahead of the spring term.

The SENCO will coordinate assessment and referral pathways, work closely with external professionals and ensure that targeted interventions are monitored for impact. The Sheffield community values strong partnership working, and the SENCO will be expected to build and sustain relationships with parents, local services and multi-disciplinary teams across Sheffield.
