SENCO Teacher

Are you an experienced SENCO Teacher looking for a new opportunity in Rugby?

Winner Education are seeking an experienced SENCO Teacher to work in a primary school based in the Rugby area. This role will be a long-term placement, working 2 days per week, with pay rates from £180 to £260 per day.

The successful applicant will have previous experience working as a SENCO within a primary school setting, with a strong understanding of SEND provision and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, carers and external agencies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate SEND provision across the school

Support pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities

Work closely with class teachers to identify and meet individual pupils' needs

Develop and review Individual Education Plans and appropriate SEND support strategies

Liaise with parents, carers and external agencies

Monitor and track pupil progress and ensure appropriate interventions are in place

Provide advice, guidance and support to teaching staff

Ensure the school meets its statutory responsibilities in relation to SEND

Contribute to safeguarding and the wider wellbeing of pupils

The successful SENCO Teacher will have:

Previous experience working as a SENCO within a primary school

A strong understanding of SEND legislation, policies and procedures

Excellent communication and organisational skills

The ability to work effectively with teachers, support staff, parents and external professionals

A patient, nurturing and inclusive approach

Strong knowledge of a range of SEND, including Autism and complex needs

Relevant teaching qualifications and experience within a primary school setting

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
