SEND Administrator - Specialist School

Location: Reading, Berkshire
Pay: £105 per day
Contract: Full-time contract, term time plus five INSET days
Start: November 2026

Prospero Teaching is recruiting an organised and proactive SEND Administrator for a specialist school supporting autistic children and young people in Reading.

Working closely with the SENCO and wider school team, you will help coordinate SEND administration, maintain accurate pupil records and support communication with families, local authorities and other professionals.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Coordinating EHCP annual reviews, arranging meetings and maintaining the review calendar.
* Managing pupil referrals, admissions and leaver records.
* Updating pupil information, attendance records and confidential documentation.
* Liaising with parents, local authorities and external professionals.
* Supporting school census submissions, pupil transport records and free school meal data.
* Taking meeting notes and handling telephone and email enquiries.

We are looking for someone with:

* Strong administration skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
* Experience within a school, SEND service or similar setting.
* An understanding of EHCPs and annual review processes.
* A professional, approachable manner and confidence handling sensitive information.
* Good IT skills; experience using Bromcom or CPOMS would be an advantage.
