Role Purpose:

The Assistant SEND Officer will assist in managing the provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring high-quality teaching and learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the SENCO in leading SEND provision.
• Develop resources and provide guidance for teaching SEND pupils.
• Lead and monitor intervention programmes.
• Maintain documentation and liaise with external agencies.
• Analyse assessment data and implement interventions.

Requirements:

• Experience working with SEND students in a secondary school setting.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies.
• Knowledge of current SEND legislation and best practices.
• Commitment to promoting inclusion and equality.
