Role: SEND Programme Year Leader for
adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities (internally
referred to as Building Futures Year Leader)
Location: Our sessions are based
at community venues across Surrey, with this role being
primarily based across Guildford and Woking.
Hours: Full time 40 hours per week, Monday
- Friday 9am to 5.30pm with occasional weekends and evenings for
specific events.
Salary: £28,875
Annual Leave: 33 days, inclusive of
bank holidays.
Training: Fully paid training is
given and further development opportunities are available.
You will be

An understanding of learning disabilities
Excellent
communication skills
Confident in
supporting and delivering outstanding person -centred sessions
to groups
Due to the physical
nature of the programme and community working, a good level of
fitness and stamina is required.
Experience of activity delivery with children and / or
people with support needs through youth work, event organisation or
education.
You will ideally be
proactive and keen for continuous improvement in yourself and
the adults you are supporting, contributing to the development
of the programme and working closely with the team.
Aged 18 and
above.
Right to work in
the UK. Please note we
are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this
role.
Willing to provide
suitable reference and undertake a DBS Check. The initial
cost of the DBS application will be paid for by halow.
Please
note , it is a criminal
offence for people who are barred from working in Regulated
Activity (Under the Safeguarding and Vulnerable Groups Act
2006) to apply for a role that requires them to work
unsupervised with that particular group (i.e. adults at risk,
children or both).
