Looking for a Rewarding SEND Support Role?

A school in the Haltwhistle area is seeking a full-time Learning Support Assistant to join their team. SEND experience is a priority, and the successful candidate will provide 1:1 support for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder in Ks1 and KS2.
 
About the Role
You'll work closely with individual pupils, helping them access learning opportunities and feel supported throughout their school day.
 
Daily Responsibilities

Supporting children with ASD on a 1:1 basis.
Helping pupils engage positively in lessons and school activities.
Providing encouragement and structure throughout the day.
Collaborating with teachers and support staff.
Promoting inclusion, confidence and independence.
What We're Looking For

Experience working with children with SEND.
An understanding of autism and associated support strategies.
A caring, reliable and proactive approach.
Availability for full-time hours, 8:30am to 3:30pm.
The ability to travel to Haltwhistle.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
