SEND Learning Support Assistant - Secondary School - Tameside - £100/day - Immediate Start

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a supportive secondary school in Tameside. This is a full-time position to start immediately, offering a daily rate of £100.

We are looking for a professional who is passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The successful candidate will work alongside teaching staff and the school's SEND team to provide targeted support, enabling students to access learning and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivering one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a variety of SEND needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.

Assisting in the planning and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).

Fostering an inclusive, respectful, and engaging classroom environment.

Supporting lesson delivery and adapting resources to suit learners' needs.

Monitoring and reporting on pupil progress and behaviour to teaching staff and the SENDCo.

Requirements:

Only applicants with previous experience working in schools or education settings will be considered.

A solid understanding of SEND and effective classroom strategies.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with young people.
