Job Description - SEND TA - Uxbridge

We are looking for a caring and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in a welcoming Primary school. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by helping students develop confidence, independence, and key learning skills.

Job Duties:

Assist in the implementation of individual education plans for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Support students in their learning activities both in group settings and on a one-to-one basis
Provide assistance with personal care needs as required
Help create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Experience working with children or individuals with SEND ( on schools setting or Personal experience)
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures

Education:

Relevant qualification in Education or Special Educational Needs is desirable but not mandatory.

Knowledge and Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Patience and empathy when working with students

Preferred Qualifications:

Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

Full-Time hours, Monday to Friday
Work within a school environment
Potential for additional training and development opportunities
Reduced Classes (7-9 students)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
