Salary: £29,703 to £46,519 | Full Time (40 hours/week)
Purpose of the Role
To plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching that meets the diverse needs of pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours. The teacher will model professional integrity and values, work collaboratively within the school community, and adhere strictly to the Staff Code of Conduct to promote a safe, respectful, and nurturing learning environment.
The School
This school we are supporting is a specialist therapeutic school in High Wycombe, for looked after children aged 11 to 19 with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, autism spectrum conditions and associated learning difficulties. It supports up to 36 pupils on site and takes referrals from across Buckinghamshire, Oxford, Milton Keynes and Hertfordshire.
The school offers two curriculum pathways and is regulated by Ofsted.
Key Responsibilities
This role is open to specialists who can teach within physical education. Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning, consistent with the school's behaviour policy and Staff Code of Conduct Collaborate with teaching assistants and specialist staff to provide effective support Lead on the curriculum adhering to school and Ofsted requirements for national education Plan and teach lessons, working with small groups and individual studentsRequirements
A committed and passionate view of students with SEND At least two years' experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision QTS/QTLS or a Level 5 teaching qualification would be considered (DET) ECT's considered if relevant SEN experienceBenefits
