Job Title: 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant - Secondary School
Location: Bexley, South East London

Position Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Contract: Ongoing (via agency), with potential for long-term placement
Salary: £95-£110 per day (dependent on experience)

We are working on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Lewisham to recruit a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to start in September. This rewarding role involves providing tailored, individual support to a student with additional learning needs, helping them to thrive both academically and socially within the school environment.

• Provide 1:1 support to a student with SEND, both inside and outside of the classroom

• Implement strategies to support learning, behaviour, and emotional regulation

• Work closely with the SENCO, class teachers, and external professionals

• Track progress and provide feedback to staff and parents

• Promote inclusion and encourage independence and confidence

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH)

• A calm, consistent, and nurturing approach

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Resilience and flexibility to adapt to changing needs

• A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)

• A supportive agency team with education expertise
