Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND school on a permanent basis, starting in the new academic year. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and making a meaningful difference in their educational journey.
The successful candidate will work closely with pupils who have a range of complex and severe learning needs, providing tailored support to help them access learning and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Support students with severe and complex needs, including:
Assist with personal care where required, ensuring dignity, respect, and safeguarding are maintained at all times Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social development Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and wider support staff to deliver personalised learning and care plans Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children or young people with SEND in an education, care, or support setting Knowledge or experience supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, physical disabilities, and/or PMLD A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach Confidence supporting pupils with personal care requirements Strong communication and teamwork skills A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners What Teaching Personnel Can Offer:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
