SEND Teaching Assistant

The Role

Supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 and small-group basis
Supporting children with autism, challenging behaviour and complex needs
Providing academic, emotional and behavioural support
Assisting with classroom activities and interventions
Working closely with teaching staff and the wider support team
Promoting positive behaviour and an inclusive learning environment

Requirements

Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND
Experience supporting autism and/or complex needs is desirable
Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
Patient, compassionate and resilient approach
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
Relevant TA, LSA or education experience is desirableLocation: Knowsley
