SEND Teaching Assistant – West Kirby

Are you a dedicated and compassionate practitioner with a genuine passion for supporting children with complex needs? We are seeking an exceptional SEND Teaching Assistant to join a newly established specialist provision in West Kirby.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact within an inclusive, nurturing environment committed to fostering growth and development for early years and primary learners. As part of the founding team at this innovative setting, you will work closely with a Specialist Base Teacher to shape the daily practice, sensory spaces, and inclusive culture of the new hub.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in a bespoke environment tailored for ASC, ADD, ADHD and communication difficulties

* Assisting with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and Behaviour for Learning (BfL) strategies

* Promoting positive behaviour, sensory regulation, and communication development

* Working as part of a close-knit team to provide a safe, caring, and inclusive environment

* Supporting the delivery of tailored activities to meet individual pupil needs

* Assisting with daily routines and behaviour management as required

Essential Skills and Experience:

* Previous experience supporting children with special educational needs, especially ASC, ADHD and ADD

* Understanding of sensory regulation and communication strategies

* NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Supporting Teaching and Learning or a related qualification

* Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures

* Ability to work calmly and effectively in a bespoke, inclusive setting

* Commitment to promoting a positive, nurturing environment for children
