SEND Teaching Assistant LIVERPOOL

The Role:

Supporting pupils with a range of SEND and complex needs
Providing 1:1 and small-group support
Supporting communication, emotional regulation and social development
Implementing individualised learning and support plans
Using positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques
Supporting pupils to engage with learning and develop independence
Working closely with teachers and other professionals to provide consistent support
Creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environmentThe Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND
Experience supporting Autism, ADHD, SEMH, challenging behaviour or complex needs is desirable
Calm, patient and resilient approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Confident managing challenging situations
Passionate about supporting children with additional needs
Able to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
