TeacherActive is looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work in an amazing Special School in Sheffield (S8) working with primary-aged students who have been diagnosed with Autism and communication needs.

The ideal SEND Teaching Assistant will be passionate about helping children who have complex needs, you will be able to tailor your teaching to a variety of unique children and you will have a patient and calm nature. We have built strong relationships with our schools and support staff so we can find the best placements that suit you and your schedule.

The ideal SEND Teaching Assistant should have the following:

Level 2 or 3 qualified and/or experience with children who have Special Educational Needs
A calm, patient, and caring persona
Good behaviour management
A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
Experience in working with and supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
