SEND Teaching Assistant PMLD

We are recruiting for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Hillingdon that caters to students with severe and complex learning needs, including physical disabilities and non-verbal communication. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm.

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with PMLD, many of whom are wheelchair users and/or non-verbal

• Assist in delivering engaging and accessible activities that promote learning, independence, and emotional development

• Work collaboratively with staff to ensure the best outcomes for each child

• Support personal care and administer medication (where applicable)

• Build positive and trusting relationships to create a safe, supportive learning environment

• Available to work full-time (Mon-Fri, 8:30am-4:00pm)

• Confident and experienced in supporting children or young adults with complex needs or PMLD

• Background in SEND settings or care support roles (references required)

• Hold or be willing to apply for a Child Only Enhanced DBS

• Local to Hillingdon or able to commute reliably

• Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach
