Role – Senior Account Manager
Department – Client Services
Location – Exeter

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Account Manager to join our industry leading business. The successful applicant will work within a friendly team responsible for running the accounts of our clients, ensuring quality and consistent service across the board.

The ideal candidate will have an interest or previous experience of working in a Marketing Agency, with a solid understanding of the elements of advertising and marketing. You may be looking for a fresh challenge or looking to progress to the next level with our support. We would also welcome applications from marketing professionals who have broad channel exposure.

What we'll need you to do.
The driver, the owner, the person in the team who is managing every live project for a set of clients. You will get things done on time, on budget and in the smoothest way possible, ensuring that solutions are creative, brave and innovative.

To manage and lead all live projects and budgets for your set of Clients. You are the bridge between the Client and Agency and will ensure everything is delivered on time and on budget, without compromising on quality whilst pushing creativity. Moving on from the Account Manager role, you will take a more leadership and directional role. You will be responsible for managing all projects.

You will report directly to the Director(s) of Client Services and liaise with both clients and in-house team on a regular basis to ensure delivery is of a high standard and meets expectations.
Please note, there is also the expectation that the successful candidate will be flexible to help cover staff holidays and sickness when required. You will have direct line management responsibly.

Key Responsibilities
Building and maintaining strong Client relationships
Providing team support across the business to ensure that we meet our deliverables
Ensure all elements of SLAs are delivered effectively
Monitoring internal project deadlines and budgets, identifying, and communicating potential changes that may be required
Becoming the go-to 'expert' within your team on a pre-agreed area of your day-to-day work
All your Client's live projects - ensuring that all deadlines are met, on budget, without compromising on quality or creativity
Keeping the AD informed of any key developments, asking advice and drawing on them where required
Effectively briefing and liaising with internal departments
Taking comms briefs from the Client, asking the right questions and writing good creative briefs
Monitoring client finances and accurately updating the flash and actuals sheets in line with reporting timings.
Looking for proactive opportunities and driving additional projects/items to sell to a client
Presenting and selling work to clients
Managing the work, performance and professional development of team members and inspiring them to fulfil the ‘Client Services Excellence’ way
Ensuring the profitability and growth of client accounts
Working with planners to interrogate client briefs, by challenging and asking questions, to develop communications briefs that meet business needs in an effective and accountable way
Maintaining a detailed awareness of relevant market trends affecting your accounts, and developments in the wider advertising and communications industry

Qualification & skills requirements
Actively engaged, interested, and experienced in the retail and/or leisure industry
Personable and able to work effectively with a variety of different people
Organised, with strong attention to detail and time management skills
Effective communicators, both verbally and in writing
Flexible with a keen drive to solve problems, find solutions
Resilient and positive in difficult situations
Able to act autonomously
Able to manage a multitude of projects, budgets, and events
Marketing experience & knowledge
Excellent general writing skills
Excellent communication skills
Strong knowledge of all social media platforms
Driving license & Car
Willingness to travel within the UK on occasion with some weekend an overnight stays required
