Senior Accountant

We are working with a well-established single site accountancy practice based in Rochdale, Greater Manchester. They are seeking a Qualified or QBE Accountant to join them as Client Manager, to lead a small accounting team and client portfolio. They are an established and reputable accountancy firm with a strong longstanding client base and require an experienced Qualified Accountant to join the team to manage the expanding workload.

Senior Accountant - qualified or QBE Job Overview

• Preparing accounts, reports, budgets & financial statements for a portfolio of clients
• Controlling and forecasting the companies' income and expenditure
• Assist in the full production of a month end P&L and balance sheets
• Manage a portfolio of clients
• Reconciliation of accounts when required
• VAT returns
• Advising business owners on growth opportunities
• Overseeing a small team of Junior Accountants / Semi Seniors

• A minimum of 4 years' experience within an Accountancy practice is required
• Team management experience
• An excellent knowledge of cloud based software is essential
• ACCA / ACA qualified (or final exams remaining) or QBE
• Excellent client focus in a client facing role

• Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (flexible dependant on skill and experience)
• Hours: 09:30 - 17:00 (Monday - Friday)
• Holiday: 28 Days holiday (Including bank holidays)
