Senior Accountant

A well-established and forward-thinking accountancy practice based in the heart of Royal Leamington Spa is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its growing team. This firm has ambitious plans for expansion and is striving to become one of the UK's Top 100 accountancy practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of SME clients, delivering a full range of accounting, tax and advisory services
• Supervise, review and support the completion of statutory accounts, management accounts, tax returns and bookkeeping
• Lead, mentor and develop a small team, promoting high standards and continuous improvement
• Provide strategic financial guidance and proactive advice to clients, fostering long-term relationships
• Involvement with departmental operations, contributing to financial planning, recruitment and internal process development.

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant - ACA (ICAEW), ACCA or equivalent
• Previous or current experience gained within a UK accountancy practice as a Client Manager, Assistant Manager, Accounts Supervisor, Practice Accountant or similar
• Prior managerial, staff supervision or mentoring experience beneficial
• Proficient in cloud-based accounting systems (Xero, QuickBooks etc) and MS Excel
• Organised, commercially astute and able to lead in an expansive and client-focused setting.
