Senior Accountant

I am partnered exclusively with a fast growing Warwickshire based business, currently experiencing a period of rapid expansion. To support ongoing business development, I am seeking a technically minded Senior Accountant to join the finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to play a key role in the financial operations of a high-growth company, with real potential for career development and progression. Salary on offer is circa £60,000 plus hybrid working and excellent development opportunities.

As a Senior Accountant, you will take ownership of core accounting processes and play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting. Working closely with the CFO, you will be instrumental in shaping the finance function as the business evolves, while supporting strategic decision-making with robust financial insight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage general ledger activity including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries
• Ensure compliance with UK GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate audits and provide necessary documentation to external auditors
• Support the budgeting and forecasting cycles, including variance and trend analysis
• Drive process improvements to streamline accounting operations and reporting
• Manage and oversee payment runs and cash flow processes
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support for strategic initiatives

Candidate Profile:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
• Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and regulations
• Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced, scaling business environment is highly desirable
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting systems
• High attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business
• Proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement
