An Accountancy firm in Bolton are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering both compliance and advisory services. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and the chance to work with a varied client base. Whilst offering support to our portfolio management team who undertake the management of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance:
Prepare and review accounts and initial tax computations for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, and individuals.
Ensure all compliance deadlines are met and maintain up-to-date records for HMRC & Companies House submissions.
Stay current with changes in accounting legislation.
Advisory:
Provide advisory services to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and efficiency, protection of assets
Advise clients on the tax implications of business transactions and financial decisions.
Assist with business restructuring and provide guidance on tax-efficient structuring.
Advise on software, systems and general business advice.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact.
General:
Collaborate with other departments within the firm to deliver integrated services to clients.
Mentor and support junior staff members, providing training and development opportunities.
Contribute to the firm’s business development efforts, including attending networking events and generating new client leads.
Continuously seek opportunities to improve internal processes and enhance client service delivery.
Qualifications and Skills:
ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with a strong background in practice.
Comprehensive knowledge of UK accounting legislation and compliance requirements.
Proven experience in providing business advisory services to owner-managed businesses.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in using tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
