Senior Accountant - Godalming

£45,000 - £60,000

Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with strong experience who is ready to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review self-assessment tax returns and corporation tax returns for a portfolio of clients

• Lead preparation of monthly, quarterly & annual management accounts

• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, payroll journals, VAT submissions & variance analysis

• Oversee tax compliance, including corporation tax returns and self-assessment filings

• Liaise with external auditors during year-end processes

• Provide commercial insights and build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams

• Mentor junior accountants & contribute to process improvements

Experience and Skills Requirements

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA

• Proven experience (ideally 3+ years) in practice or industry finance

• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with IRIS (e.g., Cashflow Manager, PAYE, CT)

• Experience in self-assessment tax returns and corporation tax returns

• Strong organizational, communication & analytical abilities
