Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Harrogate, North Yorkshire
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 pa
Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 am till 5:30 pm

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in accounting who is looking to take on greater responsibility and work closely with a diverse range of clients. As Senior Accountant, you will take ownership of the full range of accountancy services for clients including preparation of management accounts, financial statements, tax returns, VAT returns and business advice. The role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving and is passionate about delivering excellent client service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of financial statements for a varied portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards.
• Managing the preparation and submission of VAT returns, corporation tax returns and personal tax returns.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as the main point of contact for client queries.
• Assisting with audits and managing client expectations throughout the process.
• Supporting clients with management accounts, forecasting and business advice.

Requirements:

• ACA / ACCA or similar, or qualified by experience.
• Proven experience in an accountancy practice environment with a good understanding of UK tax and accounting regulations.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in accounting software packages.
• A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
