Job Description: Senior Accountant
Location: Huddersfield
Hours: Full time
Salary: £32,000 - £38,000

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Accountant who is either ACA or ACCA qualified, or in the final stages of qualification, to join an Accountancy Practice in Huddersfield.

Key Responsibilities:
• Able to manage and take responsibility for own portfolio of clients
• Preparation and review of complex company financial statements, interim management accounts, personal tax returns & partnership accounts and returns
• Review and submit quarterly VAT returns
• Forecasts and business projections - not essential
• Attend client meetings and interact with directors and business owners
• Train members of staff and allocate duties

Qualifications and Skills:
• ACA or ACCA qualified, or nearing qualification with relevant practical experience.
• Proven experience within an accountancy practice, demonstrating a strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and colleagues.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite.
