Senior Accountant

Position: Senior Accountant (Part Qualified and above)

Location: Welwyn Garden City

Package: £35,000-£40,000 DOE, 33 days total holiday, free parking, pension, and more

Working hours: Full time or part time considered.

An exciting position, for an MAAT or part ACCA qualified, or even fully qualified accountant, has become available, within a growing practice in Welwyn Garden City. This firm are consistently looking for ambitious accountants, looking to grow their career, and to progress.

• Prepare and file accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies under UK regulations
• Prepare and submit corporation tax and self-assessment tax returns
• Bookkeeping, prepare and file VAT returns
• Support a diverse UK-based client portfolio across multiple sectors

• At least 4-5 years of hands-on experience working with UK-based clients in an accountancy practice
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting and tax compliance
• Able to produce company tax computations and file returns
• Partly/Fully MAAT / ACCA qualified
• Proficient in completing self-assessment tax returns
• Experience with software including Xero, QuickBooks, tax calc, Sage, and VT etc
• Excellent team player with a proactive approach of meeting deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality client service

• Salary dependant on experience, ranging from £35,000-£40,000
