Senior Accountant

Are you a qualified accountant with a strong background in financial reporting and stakeholder engagement? We're looking for a Senior Accountant to join our London office. This is a high-impact role supporting senior leadership with financial insights, statutory reporting, and working capital management.

Key Responsibilities in this Senior Accountant position -

Monthly Management Accounts

• Prepare accurate and timely reports including billing, collections, chargeable hours, and profitability analysis.
• Provide commentary and insights for senior stakeholders.

Statutory Reporting

• Support VAT returns, PAYE settlement agreements, P11Ds, and other statutory submissions.
• Assist in preparing year-end statutory accounts and supporting schedules.
• Contribute to partnership tax computations and liaise with auditors.

Working Capital & Productivity

• Partner with senior leadership to analyse financial performance.
• Prepare productivity reports and support revenue management.
• Assist with collections initiatives throughout the year.

Treasury Management

• Ensure adequate cash flow and manage inter-account transfers.
• Prepare funding requests as needed.

Additional Responsibilities

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Authorise bank payments and assist with ad-hoc financial analysis.
• Educate partners on financial dashboards and performance monitoring.
• Assist with system integration and balance sheet reconciliations.

Candidate Profile

Essential:

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with at least 3 years post-qualification experience.
• Experience in the legal sector or accountancy practice.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of SAR rules and UK tax requirements.
• Experience with Aderant (CMS) or similar finance systems.
• Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
