An established and highly regarded accountancy practice in Grantham is seeking a talented Senior Accountant to join their friendly and growing team on a 6–12 month fixed-term contract. The Role:

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing client relationships and delivering a high-quality service across a varied portfolio.

Key Responsibilities: -

- Managing accounts preparation from bookkeeping through to final accounts.

- Preparing and submitting corporate and self-assessment tax returns, including tax computations.

- Producing insightful management accounts and supporting clients with informed decision-making.

- Maintaining direct communication with clients and providing proactive advice and support,

- Utilising advanced accounting software and Excel skills to improve efficiency and accuracy.

- Supporting VAT and payroll processes.

- Coaching, mentoring, and developing junior members of the team.

- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and tax regulations

About You

We're looking for a motivated and capable accounting professional who enjoys building strong client relationships and takes pride in delivering exceptional work.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Minimum 2–3 years' experience within an accountancy practice environment.

- Strong technical accounting knowledge with proven experience managing client accounts.

- Experience using cloud-based accounting software and modern accounting technologies.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- A proactive, organised, and client-focused approach.

- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively.

- A positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to support colleagues.

- Experience with VAT, payroll, and tax compliance processes
