Senior Accountant - Circa £45,000 (DOE) - Basildon

Following a period of impressive growth, a dynamic and highly regarded independent chartered accountancy firm is looking to bring in an experienced Senior Accountant to support continued expansion and play a key role in client delivery.

The Role:

• Managing a varied portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients
• Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts, management accounts, and VAT returns
• Leading on client communication and advisory support
• Supporting and reviewing work from junior team members
• Helping to identify process improvements and add value to client relationships

What They’re Looking For:

• ACA/ACCA qualified or finalist (QBE also considered with strong experience)
• Solid experience in general practice within a small to mid-sized firm
• Able to manage accounts workflows and communicate directly with clients
• Strong technical knowledge and cloud accounting experience
• Comfortable mentoring or overseeing junior staff
