Senior Accountant - Pension Accounts

Adele Carr Recruitment is working on behalf of a leading national accountancy firm to recruit a Pension Accounts and Outsourcing Senior Associate for their expanding pensions team in Oldbury. You'll manage a portfolio of pension scheme clients, preparing annual reports, financial statements and management accounts, ensuring compliance with the latest industry regulations. You'll also lead junior team members, build client relationships, and liaise directly with auditors.

• Prepare financial statements and quarterly management reports for pension scheme clients

• Reconcile and analyse accounting data including investment reports and cashbooks

• Ensure compliance with Pensions SORP and regulatory standards

• Supervise and support junior staff with reviews and on-the-job training

• Act as the main client contact, maintaining strong working relationships

• Liaise with external auditors during audit cycles

• Deliver high-quality work to agreed deadlines and budgets

• AAT, ACA, ACCA, or ICAS qualified

• Strong understanding of financial reporting and auditing standards

• Good working knowledge of Excel and accounting systems

• Experience in pensions or knowledge of the Pensions SORP (preferred but not essential)

• Confident communicator with excellent attention to detail
