Senior Accountant - Urgent Hire

NXTGEN have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join a market leading Accountancy Practice as part of their Business Services team in their Colchester Office. This role is ideally suited to anyone looking to make a step up to Senior or someone already working at this level that's looking for a new challenge and a fun but professional working environment. The successful Senior Accountant will manage a broad portfolio of clients, providing a high level service, helping advise and answer their business needs. As a Senior within the team, there will also be opportunities to get involved with business development, improving efficiencies within the Accounts team whilst also supporting junior members of the team with their own personal development.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Preparation of accounts to a high level for a broad client portfolio
- Manage client work loads, maintaining excellent client relationships at all times
- Preparation of tax computations for clients
- Support clients with self assessment tax returns
- Review work of junior staff to ensure it is to the required standards

The successful candidate will ideally either be a finalist or hold an ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) and looking to manage a portfolio of clients. Candidates will need to have prior experience gained within an accountancy practice and will be confident in a client facing role. A good knowledge of Cloud Accounting software is also advantageous.
