Senior Accountant/Management Accountant

This role is for a Senior Accountant/Management Accountant who will be pivotal in managing and improving financial processes within a technology business located in Wokingham. Description

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
• Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
• Coordinate and complete annual audits
• Provide recommendations to improve systems and financial performance
• Manage budgeting and forecasting processes
• Coordinate with management in decision-making processes
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and organisational policies

Profile

A successful Senior Accountant/Management Accountant should have:

• Part qualified (ACCA or CIMA) qualification
• Proficiency in financial software and MS Office
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Excellent knowledge of statutory legislation and regulations
• Preparation of management accounts for (European experience preferable)
• Ensuring payroll is accurate and records are up to date
• Responsible for local statutory filing and working with external tax advisors.
• Responsible for completing corporation tax returns.
• Responsible for carrying out intercompany reconciliations and supporting intercompany month end close.
• Assisting with VAT reconciliations.
• Completion of month end journals.
• Fixed asset reporting.
• Approval of exchange rates.
• Working with global finance teams to meet reporting requirements
