Senior Accounts Manager

Sheridan Maine is looking for an experienced and driven Senior Accounts Manager to oversee key financial activities and client relationships within a dynamic Essex-based team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the accounting function, mentoring team members, and ensuring the highest level of service delivery to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
-Oversee the preparation of management accounts, financial statements, and regulatory reports.
-Lead and develop a team of accountants and finance professionals.
-Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
-Monitor and improve internal controls, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and legislation.
-Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
-Manage client portfolios, providing expert financial guidance and solutions.
-Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies.
-Collaborate across departments to support business strategy and growth.

Requirements:
-ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience.
-Proven experience in a senior-level accounting or finance management role.
-Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
-Excellent knowledge of UK financial regulations and reporting standards.
-Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
-Commercially astute with the ability to provide strategic financial insight.
