Job Description - Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst

Mission Overview & Responsibilities:


The Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst will take ownership of important projects within the Accounts Receivable process, providing critical analysis and leadership to guide efficiency and increase business operations. You will play an important role in system implementations, process improvements, and project management while ensuring high-quality deliverables.


You will follow a hybrid work schedule, working in the Norfolk, VA office three days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely the other two days.



  • Manage workstreams from system implementation to post-deployment, ensuring understanding of our goals and timelines.

  • Conduct analyses of business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend optimization strategies using process mapping tools.

  • Develop reports and SOPs that ensure accuracy, compliance, and deliver valuable insights.

  • Mentor team members by sharing expertise, best practices, and providing support to enhance team performance.

  • Demonstrate support and understanding of our value of journalistic independence and a strong commitment to our mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world.

  • You will report to the Accounts Receivable Manager.


Basic Qualifications:



  • Associate's degree in finance or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • 3+ years of experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application: preferably Workday Financials.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of experience managing projects, with familiarity in project management methodologies.

  • Knowledge of Adpoint, Salesforce, and BigQuery.
