Senior Actuary - Reinsurance Specialty Pricing

Arthur is delighted to be supporting a global reinsurer who are seeking a senior actuary to join thier Specialty Actuarial team. The team provides pricing support and portfolio analytics for global reinsurance lines including Aviation, Cyber, Credit, Surety, Mortgage, Personal Accident, and Crisis Management. It involves case pricing, tool development, planning analysis, and market insight, working closely with underwriting and other internal teams to support strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:
• Perform individual account pricing and monitor portfolio performance.
• Develop and maintain underwriter pricing tools, including updates to assumptions and methodology.
• Contribute to pricing transformation through the build and rollout of new digital tools.
• Support global pricing standards and new product development.
• Conduct deep-dive portfolio analysis to guide financial planning and underwriting strategy.
• Assist with business planning across multiple specialty classes.
• Provide market insight to support growth and positioning within key product lines.

Requirements:
• Qualified actuary with experience in reinsurance or specialty pricing.
• A 2:1 degree or higher in a numerical or scientific subject, with A or A* in A-Level Mathematics (or equivalent).
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficient in Excel and SQL; familiarity with Python is advantageous.
