Your new company An established charity based in Edinburgh is seeking an experienced Senior Administration Officer to join their team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a purpose-driven organisation, supporting key operational and governance functions. An immediate start is preferred. Your new role As Senior Administration Officer, you will provide high-level administrative and governance support to senior leaders and committees, helping to ensure the smooth running of organisational processes. This is a varied role that requires strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:
Providing comprehensive administrative support to senior management and wider organisational teams. Coordinating meetings for senior leaders, Board members and committees, including scheduling, agendas, papers and follow-up actions. Supporting governance activities by maintaining accurate records, updating policies and ensuring key documentation is up to date. Managing organisational databases, filing systems and confidential records, ensuring information is maintained accurately. Preparing reports, correspondence, presentations and other business-critical documentation. Acting as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, responding to enquiries professionally and efficiently. Reviewing administrative processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and service delivery.What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in a senior administrative, executive support, or governance-focused role. Experience supporting Boards, Committees, or senior leadership teams is highly desirable. Excellent organisational, communication and minute-taking skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems. A proactive and professional approach, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.What you'll get in return
