Senior Administrator

• Annual Salary: £30,000 to £32,000
• Location: North London
• Job Type: Full-time office-based Monday to Friday

I am pleased to be recruiting on behalf of this dynamic and independent civil engineering company based in the local North London area.

We are looking for an experienced Permitting Officer to join their growing team in North London.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in keeping things organised and enjoys working in a dynamic environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Raise permit applications based on work descriptions for submission to the Highways Authority.
• Keep all permits and notices updated.
• Ensure works are on track and request extensions if needed.
• Liaise with Project Managers and Supervisors to manage road space bookings efficiently.
• Input and update permitting information using Excel and Teams.
• Build and nurture relationships with Local Authorities and other stakeholders.
• Monitor inspections of reinstatement and tackle any challenges with FPN and inspection data.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven track record in the highways industry.
• Familiarity with the New Roads & Street Works Act 1991, Traffic Management Act 2004, and the London Permit Scheme.
• Strong organisational and administration skills.
• Knowledge of street works management systems and experience with Insight/Symology is a plus!
• Must hold a full clean UK driving license.
