Senior AI Engineer (LLM / Azure) - Contract

We're looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join a high-profile programme delivering AI-driven solutions using Python, Azure OpenAI, and LLMs.

Key Responsibilities

Build and enhance LLM-powered document extraction pipelines.
Develop solutions for PDF processing, OCR, entity matching, and structured data extraction.
Improve accuracy through testing, evaluation, and regression frameworks.
Scale services using Azure, FastAPI, Terraform, and Azure DevOps.
Collaborate with senior engineers and stakeholders to drive technical decisions.

Essential Skills

5+ years' software engineering experience.
2+ years working with LLMs and Generative AI solutions.
Strong Python and FastAPI development experience.
Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI and Azure cloud services.
Experience processing and extracting data from complex documents.
Strong testing and CI/CD experience.

OCR solutions
Databricks
Energy sector or Public Sector experience
