Senior Airfreight Forwarder

Do you have experience of managing import and / or export airfreight shipments? Confident booking cargo with airlines and handling documentation? How about Class 1 Dangerous Goods trained – now that’s a big ask so training can be provided. The Role:

As an Airfreight Forwarder, you will be responsible for the start to finish process of moving import & export shipments by air. You will be commercially minded with a real passion for moving freight & solving problems for time critical cargo (commercial & military arms & equipment).
Your responsibilities will also include;

• Negotiating and booking cargo with airlines / carriers.
• Managing documentation flow, including Bills of Lading, Packing Lists, Commercial Invoices, Certificates of Origin & Licences.
• Shipping explosives, weapons & defence equipment.
• Arranging collection / delivery and managing all the way to final destination.

Essential Criteria:

• Import or Export airfreight experience (ideally both)
• Commercially minded
• Excellent communication

Salary & Benefits:

For the right candidate our client is looking to pay between £30-36k for the right person along with benefits, company bonus & free parking. Monday to Friday 9-5.30pm
