Job Description

Based in the heart of Leamington Spa, Pixel Toys have spent almost a decade pushing the capabilities of mobile and VR gaming. We have developed multiple award-winning titles, including: Gunfinger, Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade, Drop Dead and Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realm War; and we’re now excited to be exclusively working on a new game, unlike ANYTHING we’ve done previously!

As a forward thinking and innovative studio we are always looking for new technologies and techniques to develop and use in our games and make them even more engaging experiences for our customers.

The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Animator to join us in delivering animation content and cinematics on a cutting-edge mobile title; bringing out the performance and embellishing mocap data, for both body and face.

Working closely with the character art and technical teams, you will bring exciting characters to life and communicate rich personalities through your work. This position will provide you with the opportunity to contribute ideas, concepts and technical solutions to enable us to build great games, as well as guide members of the art team when it comes to processes and best practices.

About you:

As a Senior Animator you will be comfortable working with motion capture, editing dense keyframe data and as well as being familiar with the retargeting process. You will also be experienced in cinematography and creating dynamic camera sequences (such as Previz and Cinematics).

On top of this, your showreel will be one that demonstrates a high level of knowledge and skill in animating human characters (in Maya).

While not essential, it would be advantageous if you have some experience or knowledge in the Unity game engine.
