Ready to make your mark? Lanes Group, backed by Private Equity giant BlackRock, is looking for an Senior Assistant Accountant who knows they’re ready for more. You’ll be the go-to expert for operational queries, work closely with Management Accountants on monthly reporting, and oversee key processes like accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and audits. Now let’s talk about what you’ll do:



  • Manage the day-to-day workload of your team of Assistant Accountants.

  • Act as an operational escalation point within the team.

  • Liaise closely with Management Accountants in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.

  • Accruals, prepayments across all business departments

  • Assist in cost tracking.

  • Maintain financial records and ensure data accuracy.

  • Reconcile accounts and assist with month-end and year-end close processes.

  • Collaborate with internal departments to gather financial data.

  • Support compliance with financial policies and procedures.

  • Assist with audit preparation and external reporting requirements.



What you’ll bring:



  • Studying towards ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification

  • Previous experience in a finance or accounting role required.

  • Strong Excel skills.

  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.

  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.



The details:


Location: Leeds, LS12 6AB (On-Site)


Salary: Up to £36,000


Benefits: 24 days holidays, pension scheme
