Senior Assistant Financial Accountant

A dynamic and rapidly growing business based in Bath is seeking to appoint a Senior Assistant Financial Accountant. This pivotal role will focus on strengthening the consolidation of Management Accounts and supporting global tax compliance initiatives.

Your new role
Duties and responsibilities will include:

• Prepare and post monthly journals for IFRS adjustments
• Prepare upload journals for entities on separate systems to support the consolidation
• Prepare loan interest calculations and supporting schedules
• Production of statutory accounts for the UK entities
• Assist with the preparation of the consolidated accounts and notes for the Group
• Review EU and UK VAT returns prior to submission
• Prepare information and assist with queries for Third Party Tax advisors
• Liaise with teams around the business to understand and document key operational processes, their impact on our accounting system and identify areas for improvement
• Relentless drive to improve processes within your area of control
• Ability to support the business by responding and adapting to change in a positive manner

What you'll need to succeed

• CIMA/ACA/ACCA part-qualified (preferred)
• Good solid Excel skills to be able to interrogate data efficiently using formulas and PIVOT tables etc .
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to work in a very fast paced environment
• Superb attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and comfortable liaising and collaborating with various stakeholders
• Ability to take the initiative to research and develop any gaps in knowledge
• Be willing to come into the office 4 days a week during month-end and during the audit period
