Job Description - Senior Associate

A leading law firm based in London is seeking a Senior Associate to join their high-performing Private Development Team. This permanent, full-time role is suited to a Senior Associate with a strong background in residential development and a commercial mindset, ready to play a key part in one of the UK's most respected legal teams in the real estate sector.

As a Senior Associate, you'll be joining a department known for advising some of the country's top private developers on complex, large-scale housing projects. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Senior Associate to take on a client-facing role with exposure to major urban development work across London and nationally.

The Senior Associate's role

The Senior Associate will focus on a varied caseload that includes:

  • Site acquisition and disposal work for significant residential development schemes

  • Advising on technical and estate management issues raised by long-standing clients

  • Collaborating with in-house specialists across planning, construction, litigation, corporate and tax

  • Supporting client relationships with regular contact and commercially driven legal advice

The Senior Associate

To be successful in this Senior Associate role, you will ideally have:

  • At least 5 years' post-qualification experience in property law, ideally with a focus on residential development

  • Proven ability to manage large, complex transactions within the private development space

  • A proactive, collaborative approach to client service and legal problem-solving

  • UK legal qualification (LLB or equivalent, LPC/SQE, and admission as a solicitor in England & Wales)

In Return?

  • £90,000 - £110,000

  • Opportunity to work on landmark London and national housing development projects

  • Career progression within a recognised and growing team

  • A collaborative environment with exposure to sector-leading lawyers
