An established and highly respected UK planning consultancy is seeking a Senior Associate Planner to join its Hertfordshire office, with a clear view to leading the team as it grows.

This is a pivotal hire within a well -structured and ambitious team that currently comprises a Partner, Associate and Senior Planner. The successful Senior Associate will sit between Partner and Associate level, taking a lead role in business development, client relationships and the continued expansion of the practice in the region.

The firm is known for delivering commercial, pragmatic planning advice, combining strong technical expertise with a collaborative, client -focused approach. Projects span a broad mix of development sectors, offering genuine variety and strategic challenge.

The Role

• Take a leading role in managing and delivering complex planning projects.
  

• Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing clear and strategic planning advice.
  

• Drive business development activity, helping to grow instructions and expand the local client base.
  

• Support and mentor junior team members, contributing to team leadership and development.
  

• Work closely with the Partner on strategy, growth and longer -term succession planning.

• An experienced planner operating at Senior Associate level or ready to step up.
  

• Strong technical planning background with excellent commercial awareness.
  

• Proven client -facing skills and confidence in winning and developing work.
