Job Description
MAIN RESPONSIBILITY:
This role resides within the Systems department and its primary objective is to facilitate and enable the smooth operations of the Systems department. The role is identified as both the first and second line support for the SBI staff, and is required to liaise with external 3rd party vendors where re wired.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY:
To provide support in hardware, network and server management
The position holder is required to assist in the resolution of local system administrative issues i.e. software installations, profile configuration etc., attend to all systems related issues across the UK, where necessary physically attending the location\branch. Monitor & management of the SBI UK network & all connectivity issues.
Investigate any hardware & configuration issues & Backup aspects, as well as record- keeping/documentation
Responsible for ensuring Anti-virus updates across branches.
Responsible for attending to and resolving
Network/Connectivity
issues across the branches.
Responsible for the backup and off-site storage of Data.
Responsible for DR set-up and planning.
Responsible for undertaking any other duties as delegated by the Department Head.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:
Engineering/Management
degree preferred. Must have knowledge of Banking applications (Finacle preferred) and well conversant with ticketing system and operational issue resolution
COMPETENCY:
A thorough knowledge of Windows OS
Proficient knowledge of Novell Network management
Proficient in Hardware and Software installation, general PC troubleshooting
Working knowledge of MS Office
Ability to impart knowledge
Ability to document procedures
Thorough working knowledge of Finacle suite of applications, especially Finacle Core
Experience in supporting Finacle Applications.
Experience in Project Management.
Basic understanding of infrastructure and networking
Experience in Oracle/RDBMS with ability to understand and execute day to day database queries
Training Users with regards to applications
Willingness to take on new challenges, Interacting with IT-FO Department in India on regular basis for application support
Interacting with SOC Mumbai for SWIFT operations and related issues Interacting with Active Directory and Office 365 Team for Emails and ADS support Interacting with all users at SBIUK (Wholesale & Retail)
Interacting with CBGO in India
Interacting with BPO users in India
Interacting with IT-FO for issue resolution
Interacting with PSG Mumbai for payments related issues.
Interacting with IBG for any submission as required.
Interacting with HR at SBIUK
