Senior Audit Manager

REED accountancy are delighted to announce that we are working with a prestigious, fast-growing top 20 accountancy practice based in Letchworth Garden City. Our client is looking for an Audit Manager to join their audit team. The perfect candidate will be able to manage a team of seniors and juniors and be able to delegate and oversee the work of their peers. You must be ACA/ACCA qualified and have extensive experience working within an accountancy practice.

Role Overview:

• An ideal candidate will be responsible for the delivery and audit and assurance services to a vast range of clients
• You must be able and confident in managing a team of 6 including two seniors, two semi-seniors and two juniors
• You will be reporting to the Head of Audit who will have overall responsibility
• The ideal candidate will have prior experience in management and will be a certified RI (Responsible Individual)
• An annual salary of up to £75,000

Working Arrangements:

• Office hours are 37.5 hours per week however there is a flexible working policy which means there are no core hours and no official start or finish time
• Attire is dependant on the day
• Working hours will need to be agreed with the line manager

Personal Specification:

• Strategic and operational management experience
• The ability to review existing systems and to make improvements
• Good communication skills both verbally and written
• MUST be ACA/ACCA fully qualified
• Self-motivated and hungry to progress
• MUST have previous Audit experience at managerial level
• Strong knowledge of corporate accounting and audit matters (UK GAAP, FRS102, IFRS and ISA’s)
• Extensive supervisory experience
