Main Responsibilities
Develop relationship with providers of opportunities at third parties to maintain a pipeline of direct opportunities
Bid management - Directly manage opportunity scoping and feedback calls with third parties (referral partners and directly with those procuring our services); manage RFP process from receipt through to issue of response ensuring compelling responses created and deadlines met; be a key stakeholder in signing off RFP and pitch material; provide market colour, assisting in the creation of compelling and tailored bid responses and impactful presentations at interview stage; obtain feedback on all bids and use to improve how we approach future bids
Coach Trustees and Pensions executives in preparation for interviews / pitches
Help to write award submissions and compelling case studies for inclusion in pitches and marketing material. Maintain ‘pipedrive’ (CRM) for new business opportunities sourced across the Pension teams, including record of wins and losses and running associated reports the businesses require on a regular basis” (with oversight of RFPs and new opps from start to finish)
Supporting the overall BD, Sales and Marketing Strategy for the Pensions business, in consultation with our Pensions Management Team (PMG) and the working groups
Prospect management for LawDeb – in liaison with Directors and Trustee Service Executives keeping lists and activities up to date – and working in partnership with relevant team members to ensure momentum kept consistently high e.g. pipeline management. Research on prospects to support Team
Work with broader BDM team in other group business development and marketing activities, ensuring that services provided to LawDeb are consistent with the rest of the group
Deliver our quarterly newsletter in conjunction with our PMG and Marketing team
Monitor key competitors’ activity
Other departments – encouraging cross-selling / introductions from all parts of the group business

Person Specification
Essential:
Educated to degree level and evidence of further study and/or additional qualifications in marketing and/or communications
Experience of professional services business development, sales and communications with a brand or brands of reputable standing. Demonstrable experience, network and knowledge of professional services. Pensions experience will be prioritised.
A track record of proven delivery, demonstrating both creative and analytical skills
An ability to manage projects using a collaborative and professional approach and to operate well under pressure. Skilled at developing relationships with colleagues and other professionals including client, partners, press and other contacts
An ability to work independently and take decisions - but know when to seek guidance ‐ and deliver to deadlines
Proven skills in the following areas:
Stakeholder management and client care
Communication and literacy, including writing creative and engaging copy, presentation and public speaking
Personal organisation and time management: an ability to prioritise, to work flexibly, to work to tight deadlines; to complete tasks and attention to detail
