Job Description - Senior Bid Manager - Engineering Services

As a Bid Manager, you will take the lead in preparing and managing bids, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards. Based in Greater Manchester, this role requires a detail-oriented individual with a demonstrable track record of running high value end to end Bids processes.

Description

The key responsibilities for the Senior Bid Manager - Engineering Services role will include:

  • Lead the preparation and submission of competitive bids in line with client specifications and timelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary technical and commercial information.
  • Ensure all bids meet industry and compliance standards within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
  • Analyse bid requirements to identify risks and opportunities for the business.
  • Maintain and update bid documentation and databases to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality proposals.
  • Track and report on the progress of bids to senior management.
  • Support the sales team in securing new business and achieving revenue targets.

Profile

For the Senior Bid Manager - Engineering Services role, applicants should have the below experience:

* 4+ years experience in a Bids related role
* Proven experience in bid management, ideally in a similar sector such as engineering, energy services, manufacturing - although this is not essential.
* Exceptional stakeholder management skills, and excellent communication skills.
* Strong track record of managing end to end, high value bids.
* APMP qualification is desirable.
* Strong organisational and project management skills to handle multiple bids simultaneously.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills for crafting compelling proposals.
* Proficiency in bid management tools and software to streamline processes.
* A keen eye for detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
* A collaborative mindset to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
